The importance of position in poker
One of the essential poker 99 concepts that novice players should know is the importance of their position at the table. The term position does not refer to your seat at the table, but your position in relation to the button. The button is also called the dealer, and is the reference position in poker. The button rotates clockwise, passing from player to player for each hand. It is from the first person to the left of the button that the cards begin to be dealt. That first player is the small blind for that hand, and the person to his left is the big blind. These are the players who must place a mandatory bet in addition to the ante.
The button also dictates the order in which players take their actions. Pre-flop, the person to the left of the big blind (called UTG) is the first person to play. After the flop, that role becomes the small blind.

One of the main situations that influence your game mode is the bubble. The bubble happens exclusively in poker tournaments. This stage of the tournament takes place when there are only a few eliminations left to enter the prize pool. The bubble is a tense moment, but much awaited by the players. Beginners are usually nervous and afraid of being eliminated in the bubble. Don’t play this way. If you have a good amount of chips, the bubble is great for you.
